Selecting and Loading a Template

The easiest way for a newbie webmaster to create web pages in NVU is if they first find a page template to use as a starting point. Obviously they will not find one that has all of their content filled in (not even the basic content that they want in all their pages) but as long as the template provides the basic page layout then updating that code to insert first the information that they want in all their pages so as to create their own unique template, and finally to use their template as a basis for all their pages will be a much easier task than starting from scratch.

In the third tutorial on creating a web site using NVU I discuss how to select a suitable template and how to load that template into NVU ready to start updating it to create the “real” template for the web site. the sample template in the examples plus several more that I have created are available from the Silver section of the Member’s Area.
