ThreatFire
One useful idea for helping to prevent viruses causing problems on your computer is o examine program behaviour and o block or at least query those behaviours which appear suspicious. ThreatFire is supposed to complement your existing anti-virus software by performing this behaviour check for you so as to hopefully block those viruses that your regular anti-virus doesn’t yet recognise. I have recently checked this program out and here’s what I think of it.
