There’s one option that I have needed on a few occasions that I have not found provided by any security software – the ability to revert back to the prior version of the software without having to reinstall. This is a far more essential feature for security software that might update itself several times a day than it is with other software that only updates once or twice a year.
I have been programming computers since the late 1970s, performing a wide variety of different computer programming jobs, and using a large range of different languages - mostly writing accounting and financial systems for mainframe computers. Since the market for mainframe computer skills moved offshore I have been writing about computers, teaching computer courses in the classroom, and also doing accounting work.
