You can make the heading text of your web page look more interesting if you texture it. By combining some text in an interesting font with an image of something we can apply part of the image as the text colour to make the text more interesting than if we were to just use a plain colour.

If you have a copy of Paint Shop Pro then keeping all of the image folders on your computer properly organised will be a lot easier.

There are hundreds of different graphics formats out there used by one computer program or another. Many are exclusive to the one program and can’t be read by any other. There are a few formats though that are supported by many different graphics programs. In this article I discuss the formats suitable for both internet use (those supported by web browsers) as well as those suited to sharing your images with others (supported by most graphics programs) as well as providing a list of some of the other graphics formats that are supported by at least a few different graphics programs.

Altering a photograph to add yourself (or anything at all for that matter) into the foreground of the photo is a trivial exercise with PhotoShop. All you need is a copy of the photo to be altered in electronic format along with a photo of what you want to add (also in electronic format) with a plain colour background.

As I still have internet access issues I have only added one page to the main site this week.
The issue of web safe colours has been around since the start of the web. In this article I try to explain what it is all about and why I think web safe colour selection is no longer a real issue when it comes to creating web pages.

Yet another area of the site that doesn’t get added to much is the Graphics section which has some information on PhotoShop and Paint Shop Pro as well as some more general information about graphics.
When I find the time I may consider adding a section on either Irfanview or the GIMP for people who prefer to use a free graphics editor.
